The Coyoacán district is called one of Mexico City’s ‘barrios magicos’ or magical neighborhoods. Nestled amongst colourful buildings, cobblestone streets and blooming bougainvillea vines – this is where you’ll find the Coyoacán Design Studio. Led by the founders and lead creatives, Pauline and Oscar, this studio is responsible for the design of The Citizenry’s Aldama tables and chairs. Always striking the perfect balance between traditional Mexican design and modern minimalism, their pieces are simply striking.
“We’re inspired by our neighborhood in Mexico City. It’s filled with a mixture of modern architecture blended with ancient buildings that have been around for centuries.”
— Oscar & Pauline, Lead Designers, Coyoacán Design Studio
